Efim Svirsky was born in Moscow where he lived until the age of 17 and then lived in Toronto for another 17 years before moving to Israel. Efim has worked for many years as a psychotherapist and hypnotherapist. At the same time, he also became a specialist in Cranial Sacral or �manual medicine,� (including the manipulation of cranial bones and inter-cranial membranes). Working on the connection between the mind and body, he began a comprehensive treatment center for chronic stress and pain, which he ran for 15 years in Toronto.
Ten years ago, Efim became the Educational Director of Aish HaTorah�s Russian program in Jerusalem. He has lectured all around the world in both Russian and English � on topics including Discovery, Jewish Philosophy, Torah and Psychology and Jewish Meditation. He continues to travel extensively to speak to audiences and to train other practitioners in his field.
Efim also has a weekly radio show in Israel, "The Jewish View of the World," and has published four books (in Russian) : Without Dialogue, Abyss (a dialogue with a secular journalist about controversial Jewish topics) ; Freedom and Choice (absolute versus relative morality); Torah and Psychology, and Transformation - a journey of Psycho-Spiritual Healing, now also out in English.
Efim currently lives with his wife and five children in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem. |
